What is BUILD-a-Bike?
What an honor! Build-a-Bike received a very special award at the Excalibur & Excelsior 2023 Award Celebration! We were recognized as the 2023 Boone County Community Champion! So many people and organizations go into making Build-a-Bike a success and this award is for all of them.
Build-a-Bike Belvidere was honored with the "Distinguished Organization" Award by the Belvidere Chamber of Commerce in 2022
Local businesses and kind individuals come together and join us in giving away over 100 bikes to deserving children in our community!
With every $125 sponsorship a child receives a bike, a helmet, a lock, a goody bag, and a whole lot of memories!
Sponsors have a special sponsor tent to relax in and to enjoy snacks and beverages provided by the BOONE COUNTY SHOPPER! Sponsors can choose to build the bike for the child that will be receiving it, or we can build it for you. Also, if you cannot attend the event, we can present the bike for you in your name.
We give the kids goody bags donated by Doug Proudfoot American family insurance! We love to fill up the bags with donations from your business!
